SAFER SOONER

Water Safety

Drowning is fast, silent, and 100% preventable.

DID YOU KNOW?

You can prevent drowning with these 5 layers of protection:

  • 1. Supervise with Touch

Always watch your children when in or around water, without any distraction. Keep young children within arm's reach of an adult.

  • 2. Know CPR

Knowing how to perform CPR may help save a child's life.

  • 3. Prevent Access to Pools

Install locks, gates, fences, and alarms around home pools and other bodies of water.

  • 4. Enroll in Survival Swim Lessons

Enroll your child in swim lessons that teach survival skills:
    1. Surface
    2. Roll to float to breathe
    3. Swim to the nearest exit point
    4. Exit the water

  • 5. Empty Kiddie Pools

Always empty kids' pools after each use or a heavy rain, and store upside down to prevent water collecting.
